moving image seminar

May 3, 2019

Every year, undergraduate students from Film Studies at Concordia present their research findings in an academic conference. This years topics touch upon aspects of national cinemas from countries such as Colombia, Palestine, Morocco and Italy, as well as explore the intersections of political art and experimental film.

The Concordia Film Festival operates on the unceded traditional territory
of the Kanien’kehá:ka people. The island called “Montreal” is known as Tiotia:ke
in the language of the Kanien’kehá:ka, and it has historically been a
meeting place for other Indigenous nations, including the Algonquin people.
